Ze Frank
Bum Nugget McTurd Bottom. Yep. He called someone that.
I need a new business card.
My Plans for Podcast and Portable Media Expo
What do you think of that, Jeff? As my new business deals primarily with the world of the internet as a venue for the world’s best content, I thought this would be my premiere shirt for the Podcast and Portable Media Expo. What do YOU think?
What I Want from the PME
First and foremost, I want to meet up with PodCamp participants and reconnect. If you were at PodCamp and you’re going to the PME, I want to meet up with you, hug, smile big, and reconnect. Beers or coffee, depending on the time of day. Beers at 9AM.
Oh, and don’t assume I know about all the cool parties. Really. So, if you’re going to something cool, and I’m welcome, let me know, dammit. : )
I want to meet up with folks I’ve met through email and comments and back-and-forth. This will include pretty much anyone I’ve been bugging via email about PodCamp or other projects. That’ll be fun.
I will also be doing interviews on behalf of Pulver.tv , so if you want to talk about the impact of broadband internet on the future of television, movies, advertising, etc, I’m all game. I’ll be on the lookout, but if you’re there, come find me.
Finally, I’ll be talking a bit with folks about PodCamps that are upcoming: PodCamp West, PodCamp Pittsburgh, y’know. (Check PodCamp.org for the list).
Contacting Me
I’ll be available via my old cell phone for the duration of the event: 781.858.1501. I will have limited access to email and the internet, though there’s hope. The team at pulvermedia ordered me a laptop to my specs, threw Entourage on it so I could talk to the mother ship, and then FedExed it out to meet me there. Cool, eh? (Thanks to Uuan, John, and Christine, as well as Scott).
I’ll be at the Marriott there.
I’ll be heading out tomorrow early afternoon, so don’t hesitate to get in touch before then, just in case. I got a few cell numbers from folks like Doug and Schwen and Robert Scoble and I forget who else. I’ll jingle you eventually.
Best Idea EVER
Steve Garfield has solved most of my content nightmares in one shot. Want to know how?
RSS Problem
So… it appears that something went wonky with my RSS feed recently. I *think* I just fixed it. The thing is: if you’re subscribing to me via RSS, you might wanna go to [chrisbrogan.com] and check up on like… a dozen or two dozen posts.
They’re good ones. Really.
Special thanks to Jeff Persch for finding that.
Justin Takes on Web Video
Something tells me I linked to this post by Justin Kownacki about the future of web video.
Instead, I see a future where EVERYONE IS A CHANNEL. We already each have the capacity to create and share content, which essentially means we’re each already a channel, even if we’re currently “offline.” But with so many voices in the wilderness, how will anyone know whom to watch or listen to?
It’s truly a killer article and runs well with all the other stuff people are talking about over at Justin’s (brilliant idea) site: a wiki dedicated to thinking and learning we got from Video On the Net.
New Site Design at [chrisbrogan.com]
Thank you, thank you, thank you to Chris Pearson for Cutline, a really gorgeous WordPress theme with all kinds of great usability and design features. Chris is the stylistic genius behind CopyBlogger and Tubetorial, to name a few. You’ve gotta go see his amazing work to know what I’m talking about.
So, if you haven’t poked around [chrisbrogan.com] lately, stop by. Check out the site. Look at the graphics. Give the About Page a peek. Look at a standalone post (the headers change is why I’m telling you this).
It’s really nice.
