June 20, 2007 · Comments

Last night I met Liz Strauss, a true rockstar blogger from Chicago. (Mind you, last night I met a million amazing people including Wendy Piersall and a bunch of twitterers, etc). But I want this post to point out one thing.

That was how Liz described her blog. She didn’t tell me anything before she told me that she had 39,000 (closer to 40K) comments.

THAT is how New Media should view itself, as a conversation engine. That’s how I’m going to proceed here at [chrisbrogan.com].

Please, if you haven’t yet done so, SUBSCRIBE FOR FREE to my blog, and let’s have some conversations.

If you enjoyed this post, please consider leaving a comment or subscribing to the feed to have future articles delivered to your feed reader.

ChrisBrogan.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

  • Wow!
  • Chris - you definitely profiled a superstar conversationalist in Liz. 39k in a VERY short period of time. You and Liz should collaborate. I'm seeing VERY great things for the two of you!
  • Heck, Chris, all of the fun is in the comment box!
  • Hi Liz- The excitement becomes that with a more and more activated base, we can do more things with this energy and momentum. It's exciting. Thanks for turning me on to engaging more in the comments.
  • Hey Chris, we need to talk about this new media phenomena . . . fan-to-fan conversation. :)
  • Hey Liz- Becky McCray (http://smallbizsurvival.com) was your fan. She got me jazzed, and all your projects have me hooked. I'm a fan, too.
  • Now Chris, it was a response. You passed a hello on from someone who comes by my blog. I told you about the people first.

But you're right. It is about the conversation. Heck, without that, this might as well be paper.

You knew you'd get me over here talking. :)
