Powerful words: Will “more” benefit you? Yes / No

This is where Goals come in. When you have well defined goals, the question moves to “Did I hit my mark?”. Hitting your goal frees you to spend your energy on the next goal.

Brilliant – simple things are brilliant and brilliant things are simple

    Perfectly simple!
I also have a sneaking suspicion that “more” will also likely benefit “others”.

Chris, you missed the step that path most bloggers take:

Nice and simple. How about a dip in the middle – most bloggers may call it the dormant phase.

That is so simple, and yet…it pretty much sums up all the lifehack/GTD/Productivity blogs in one image.

Way to kill an industry Chris! LOL.

So much praise for this post. What am I missing?

Sometimes the simple things are the most powerful.

    Thanks Chris…

I would add one more question…Can the experiences of others help me to do more?

We all need to rely on more than just ourselves to achieve the best in everything….

Sometimes, it's the simple things that turn us on.

  • http://higheredcareercoach.com/ Sean Cook

    I love the simplicity.

  • Bonshaff

I love the chart. Everyone should make a copy and hang it in their bedroom so they can see it first thing in the morning. It's a great way to start the day.

Maybe it's my western MA liberal upbringing…but I keep thinking this should say 'will “more” benefit others!'

  • http://twitter.com/surekhapillai Surekha Pillai

the simple things gain multi dimension especially when pointed out by the brogans :)

At first it took me awhile to understand hooks (and still a little confused), but I managed to get help from forums and great blogs like Kristarella and Sugarrae. My advice to you is not to get frustrated because once you get the hang of this theme, it would be the only theme you’ll need for what you’re paying for. Now it’s fun trying to think of ways to customize my template because I’m always trying to improve my blog whether it’s adding more posts, or changing the aesthetics.

Seems a little light. Perhaps the creator of this flowchart wasn't feeling very ambitious at the time of its creation?

  • http://chrisbrogan.com Chris Brogan

Let me know what you'd add. Heck, if I were you, I'd blog it. : )

Chris: simple but effective. I really dig the flowchart and see how to use it in a couple of different ways.

  • http://www.wellplannedweb.com/blog/ Deana Goldasich

I love this. As I think about what I insert, I keep wanting the flowchart to be loop. Assuming my asnwer is “Yes” to the last question, shouldn't I go back to “Did I do it” … and re-evaluate the benefit, etc. I want a loop. Or maybe I'm just loopy as it's the end of the day. Thanks for making me think (perhaps too hard) tonight, Chris! :)

Pretty straightforward stuff. I like the abrupt dead ends you can run into by not pursuing the most productive path.

This is amazing. Simple and accurate- I love it.

Great flowchart, Chris! I love how the other two options just end. There isn't much you can do if you don't give it your 110%.

Love this! Reminds me of a cartoon video a past colleague made about working or not working hard in high tech corporate America. The answer for his was you get the same result in corporate if you work your butt off or you don't!

Hmmm… for blogging and what most of us do online to me it comes down to objectives, strategy and content. If it's not satisfying an objective with a measurable goal.. then why do it?

  • http://www.superdumbsupervillain.com/ superdumb

This is exactly why I haven't blogged in a week.

  • http://www.martinkoss.com/ Martin Koss

At first glance it does 'seem a little light' but… without consulting Chris – I would suggest that the above is a suggested 'starting point' – a foundation, if you like. You've got to start with 'a' question and the most effective starting question is often a very simple one (did you do it / did you enjoy doing it / was it fun / what was it / if you had to do it all again, would you).

You could add loads of questions into the 'flow' like: Did you enjoy the 'whatever'? Was 'it' helpful to others? Would doing 'more' add more value to other people's lives / businesses? Was 'it' cost-effective? Did 'it' achieve it's objective? What would I (my business) need to do in order to be more effective with 'it' or to empower others by doing more of 'it'? Did 'it' have the desired outcome for you / others?

So many options that depend entirely on you and your own unique, individual 'ambition' as to how deep you analyze 'it' and how well 'it' is working for you and towards you goals whether it is a personal ambition or a business ambition.

Not to stroke Chris but I think the “light” feel allows the user to fill in what pertains to their particular situation…

Is Yes success? Which Yes means success? Is No necessarily bad?

    That's how I view…

    Thanks,
