Convincing a New Englander to go to Las Vegas in November isn’t all that hard, but when I met Rick Calvert from BlogWorld Expo at Gnomedex 7, I found even more reason to check out his event. It looks to be pretty good, and because I found myself liking Rick and the event, I decided to support it and promote it to drive awareness. **Disclosure: I agreed to help Rick promote this to friends insofar as I think it’s a nifty show.
BlogWorld and New Media Expo takes place November 8th and 9th at the Las Vegas Convention Center (with an executive level pre-convention the day before, should you want a little of that, too). The main conference has six conference tracks after the keynote, including a beginner’s track, an advanced track, podcasting, entrepreneur, monetization, and executive track. Seems like a lot to check out, eh?

What I’m most impressed with about the conference is that it’s not for a single niche, but for the overarching ecosystem of bloggers and podcasters and new media types. It’s not about business blogging, not about mommy blogging, not about political blogging, mp3 blogging, etc. It’s trying to cover it all.
