Boston Area Community Evangelist Wanted

July 23, 2007 · Comments

A friend in a software services company is hiring two Boston-Area Community Evangelist types. She contacted me because that’s pretty much what I do for a living, and/or because I know some folks in the area. Here’s what she says about the roles:

The junior person would be responsible for the day-to-day activities of communications (lots of writing, interacting on our forums), program management, and execution of community-based initiatives… For that job I’m looking for someone at least 2 – 4 years out of college with great writing experience. Salary truly would depend upon experience.

The senior person would be responsible for the community strategy, as far as the providers go. Additionally, there might be some partnership/bus dev opportunities. He/she would work very closely with our product team to ensure that our software met the needs of the community, etc. Salary is again highly dependent upon experience (there is a range of people who could be successful in this position).

Both roles have potential options and qualification for a bonus.

She’s asked that I not post the company name outright, and that maybe I could talk to potential candidates ahead of the final process.

If this appeals, or you have Boston-area contacts who might like such a role, please contact me: blog at chrisbrogan dot com.
