Can I Get a “Hell Yeah!”
A dude in Maine (my heartland) lost just shy of 500 pounds without gastric bypass. Holy cow-no-more!

That’s amazing! And I’m with Jeff. That surgery is some scary juju.
Hey, Chris, thanks for stopping by! I replied to your kind comment. Great blog, Mr. Man — and kudos on your achievement. Run, man, RUN!
holy stink! that’s a lot of pounds to drop.
Makes me feel better about the 18 I still have to los. (I know I know, it’s not about me!). Good for him!
Good for him for not giving in to the temptation of this supposed quick-fix surgery. The complications seem MONUMENTAL, and so many people would rather take the risks and the pain of the surgery than do it the old-fashioned way like this guy did. It makes me think there might still be hope for our country yet.
This makes me so happy! I loved reading about this guy. I have very mixed feelings about the surgery. My general attitude (about everything in life) is “eh, to each his own”. Who am I to judge? But I know that I have some negative opinions about it. I just think, who cares what I think about their surgery? So I don’t explore my feelings about it too much. I know it’s not for me, so I just let it lie right there. Except then I read something like this, and I can tell by my reaction to it that I’ve got some serious problems with the whole surgery phenomena. Good for him! And I loved him talking about the exercise too - an “arm-bike”. Go figure! - Mia
Personally, I like the idea of someone weighing in at 290 pounds being a “shell of his former self”. Wow. Just getting up every morning must be so much nicer now.
HELL Yeah! well you asked, and you ran all that way, I wasn’t gonna let you down, man! Put back on the Super Suit. and hey, here’s another. HELL YEAH!

now that just plain rocks! that surgery is of the devil. devil, i say! good for him to find a way to avoid it.
