Can Social Media Fill Movie Theaters

Update: This is for the Boston area only. Sorry for the confusion.

My friends at Start Cooking have a really neat movie tie-in, and YOU can take advantage of it. UPDATE: ONLY FOR THE METRO BOSTON AREA. SORRY!. Go to Eventbrite to get free tickets to see the new Catherine Zeta-Jones movie, NO RESERVATIONS. You have to RSVP by no later than Monday the 16th, and this will get you a ticket to see the movie on July 24th. (Details on the movie are here.

Why is this cool? Because it’s reaching out to bloggers, videobloggers, and social media to try and build up a movie. I don’t think this will always work, and I don’t know that a blogger has any more sway than anyone else. But I’m really happy for Kathy and the team at StartCooking that they got this opportunity, and hell, maybe someday, someone will give YOU a movie to pimp and see how you do.

So, free movie! Yeah. : )
