Caroline Middlebrook Guides You to Twitter

Feeling a bit like I should rewrite my guide to Twitter based on the last few months of experiences, and then, I find Caroline Middlebrook out there already doing a great seven part guide. She really put the bird in the box, so if you want to get Twitter and understand it from Caroline’s point of view, dig right in and tell her I said howdy do.

I’m not saying that all of it is what I’d say about Twitter, but I will say that Caroline worked on this and has some ideas that will bring value to YOUR use of Twitter. How’s that?

Thanks for the pointer. I like Caroline’s guide – it’s a nice introduction to “Twitter Mechanics,” and an outline for getting started. That said, I believe the real challenge is in using it productively; otherwise it’s the uber anti-productivity tool.

She makes a nice start with her marketing suggestions, and its application to providing value to others – a sweet idea. But as the tool stands, it needs some enhancements to do some heavy lifting of knowledge work, things like rapid capture, tracking your time, etc. (I still have a lot more thinking to do on this before a “best practices” post comes out, clearly.)
