Chip Griffin is a New Media GOD

chipgriffin Sometimes, you run across someone who’s even faster than you. Chip Griffin is that man. Imagine this: Chip calls me up at 3PM today to do a phone interview for his show, Disruptive Dialogue. We hang up around 3:35 or so, and he tells me that the show will be up in the next couple of days or so. I think to myself, it usually takes me a week or so to get my media up, but Chip is evidently fast.

I had no idea.

Not only did Chip tidy up the audio and post it on his site, look at how much he puts into it. Chip does his own summary of the audio podcast, with TONS of details from the interview. The text post is pretty much a blog post all in its own form, and yet, it’s also great Google Juice, and perfect accompaniment to our 15 minute interview.

And while you’re getting to know all of Chip’s great stuff after listening to my interview with Chip, don’t miss his ebook, The New Media Cocktail, which you can download for free at the link I just put up. Oh, and while I’m link-dumping on all that is Chip goodness, check out CustomScoop, his exceptional online news clipping service. (Remember my post about listening?)

So there. Chip is FAST, detailed, a great interviewer, and made me feel like a star. Go give him some love.

Thanks, Chris. Appreciate the compliments. The detailed “show notes” are intended to stand on their own for anyone who can’t/won’t listen to the full interview. You still get more from the audio, but the text still provides value. That’s part of my New Media Cocktail philosophy that silos should be abolished and content types should be blended to better serve the audience.

Chip is definitely a rock star, I am often amazed by how many things he can keep up in the air at a time, and how he can write an e-book in like, an hour and a half that hardly needs any editing. It’s honestly astounding, and I’m not just saying that because he’s da boss. :)
