Zadi’s blog pointed me to this movie (she found it at Andy Carvin’s blog):

It’s a very powerful piece and worth watching all the way to the end. As Zadi says on her site, it’s a piece that gives you a need to pause and consider the depth of the message. What it *also* makes me do is remember this:

Communication is about striving to understand the other person’s language and context. It’s about ensuring that both sides feel heard and understood. Communication is about absorbing it all, not stripping away what doesn’t make sense.

It’s been creating a storm in the autism community, I only hope that it has a more positive effect on the rest of humanity.
