Dave Winer often has an interesting view on things, especially when it comes time to talk about the hype. In this great post, Dave talks both about the silly side of Twitter, as well as the potential for some future impact in certain applications. He also says that people were quick to dismiss blogging early on.
I’m not an early adopter. I’m usually the second or third wave. It’s not that I’m not very adventurous, but rather that I rarely need the new thing being offered. Why do I like Twitter so much? Clear and simple: it reminds me of Gibson’s old view of the Net from cyberpunk books.
