Faster Downloads in Firefox

February 26, 2008 · Comments

downthemalllogo Perhaps you all have this installed already, but if you don’t, I highly recommend Down Them All as an add-on to your Firefox browser. It features an accelerator that promises up to 400% faster downloads, and if my experience with it is an example, I think that number might be low.

It might seem a little tricky at first, but if you play around with it a couple of times, most folks will get it right away.

Are you already using it? What do you think?

ChrisBrogan.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

Hmm... I tried it out over a year ago and didn't much like it. I used Orbit as my download manager and it installs a plugin in Firefox by default that makes my download experience pleasant.
  • Hey Chris,

Been a fan of your site for a couple of weeks now :)! Got here via Alltop. I must say that downTHEMall! is a true blessing for the people who keep downlading via Firefox.

It's an awesome extension and I've gotten all the people I know who are using Firefox to use it =)!

However, it's sad that they haven't moved to Firefox 3 yet...
