Four Books About Changing the World- Videoblog

Hi,

I feel that these days having video posts can improve greatly a blog. I think that video posts create a much more complex and complete image of the person who also writes on the blog.

I also decided to do this(recently – I have only one video on Viddler embedded on my blog), even thou I’m not that good in front of the camera but I think I can offer much more to my blog readers (not that many at this moment) and also give them the possibility to see me the way I am.

So, you should do this video posts more often.

PS : for me it was Michael Martine and Gary Vaynerchuk who inspired me to create video posts.

Hey Chris,

Put enough text so the engines pick it up. Put the rest on video. Reading long bloggeries takes time and effort. I just listened to this while reformatting another PC.

Much preferred.

Great way to review books. I’m especially interested in the one that speaks directly to non-profits. My 35 yr old org needs to look at fundraising in a new and more efficient way. Perhaps Make Millions Make Change can give us a new perspective. We are good at raising money through proposals and to some degree from direct contracting for services, but I know that with the combined brainpower and experiences of our staff we can make a quantum leap in fundraising and social impact.

I definitely you should video blog again. This is first time I have come here. I found you through Twitter…and am glad I stopped by.
I love to read…in fact, I’m an author myself. BUT I don’t think my book is really up your alley considering the types of books you reviewed today. My genre is fiction. However if you enjoy a little fiction you can find it on Amazon here:

I like video blogging sometimes. You are good at it, so it makes it a pleasant experience. I sometimes get frustrated with videoblogs that aren’t well edited, drag on and don’t get to the point (like for products where they spend 5 minutes just taking the darn thing out of the box), but yours was clear and succint which is great.

I do know people who wont watch videos though, so you may want to play around with a text to speech program running as you do your video, that will dictate what you say into a file. Then you can provide the video for those who like that AND the transcript of it, for those who perfer to read. What would be cool is if you could set it up so that you can use a stat tracker to track people who read or watch the video. Then you could get some proper numbers. Ideas ideas…

Great video blog review for those books!

Personally I really like the video blog aspect, being that I am more of an audio/video type of person. Text in blogs, magazines etc I tend to skim. Video hold my attention much better.

So yes, keep sprinkling in some video here and there.

Yes, definitely. You might want to consider captioning them though – that is, if you’re interested in reaching out to millions of deaf and hard of hearing people who love you to death (like me).
