Good Book

I’m Reading Lance Armstrong’s book, It’s Not About the Bike, and really loving it. Though he’s definitely cocky, I like understanding his mindset.

It’s weird how things come about, though. The same day I start this book, I see a flyer for doing a bike trek up in Maine. 175 miles over three days. Sounds kind of fun, but not this year. Maybe next.

Anyhow, the book is well written, and I like the voice that comes across the page.

I read this book in one day because it was damn good. I wanted to ask every word written, it is about hope, it's about survival and it is useful to know more about the most painful event in the sporting world – Tour de France. How this man survived a serious illness with a 2% chance to survive and be on his bike next year already and won, is a force of will beyond human comprehension.
