Happy Blog Day
Blog Day is a day to promote other people’s blogs, from different counries, and from different perspectives than your own. So, with that in mind, here are a few blogs for you to check out:
- Blonde 2.0 is a blog from Israel, by Ayelet. She’s often finding interesting software applications or technologies to report on, and often with a spin that’s a little different from what I’m used to reading in my normal tech haunts.
- Productivity Workflows - Dr. Pascal Venier is someone who’s stayed in my orbit for two or so years, since my days writing at Lifehack.org. He’s a European gentleman with very interesting perspectives on productivity and getting things done, and again, with a different angle than what you might get on the old haunts here in the US.
- Sui Generis - Derrick Kwa is a young man from Singapore who is interested in encouraging us to be ourselves. I find his eclectic mix of posts refreshing and entertaining. And besides, he’s 17 and blogging really well, so give him street cred just for that.
- Loud Mouth Man - Nik Butler is a fascinating person, deeply interested in social media and social networking. He and I seem to circle around a lot of the same topics and interests. Definitely worth a read. And when he comments and points me to his OTHER blog, I’ll tell you to check that out, but I couldn’t easily find the URL in his crazy sidebar. : )
And that’s a sampling of my International friends. Here in the states, I want to draw your attention to a few swell blogs. Just a few. I read a couple hundred, so let’s just give you a taste.
- Bold Words - Britt Raybould is a thinker, reader, and great writer. Her pieces come off like good essays, and they make me stop and think.
- Levite Chronicles - Reverend Jon Swanson, friend and spiritual adviser, has a GREAT way of making me think about things without feeling preached to or lectured. His blog is always thought-provoking and an oasis from my otherwise crazy days.
- Christopher S. Penn - Since launching his personal blog some time after PodCamp Toronto, Christopher S. Penn (cofounder of PodCamp) has written a steady stream of posts that force me to stop what I’m doing and really review where I’ve been and just what I think I’m up to next. He’s a keeper.
- Successful Blog - Liz Strauss knows community like it’s her first language. She is a unique and brilliant woman, and worthy of sinking your reading time into. Get to know her, and get active in her comments section. It’s very rewarding.
So there you are. Happy Blog Day!

Chris,
I enjoy all your effort’s and you are a very effective communicator ! Listing these Blogs will add to my daily reading chores ! I have a very controversial Pen Pal http://www.joebageant.com/ Joe’s is and excellent Wordsmith ! This blog is for the Over 18, since at times he may sputter out some vulgate language ! His latest book Deer Hunting With Jesus, is a study of the working poor in America very bitter sweet ! But it is relative to our time in grade ! I suggest it since lately our political world is ok with corrections ! Puede Ser !
Hi Chris!
Thank you. I can’t believe my life was so jammed packed this week that Blog Day slipped right by me. I’m going to have to do a Happy Belated Blog Day now!
Thank you for every word you said.
But even more . . . Thank you for this blog that I so enjoy reading. You and your readers keep me thinking in new directions and for that I will always be grateful.
[…] I was all psyched to take part. . . . But that “living in the moment thing” got the best of me. blogDay 3 was August 31. I woke up today, and the world is on September 3rd. Even now I’d still be clueless without help from a hero down the road. […]

happy blog day to you sir.
