chris, i'm impressed. you make this sound pretty simple. i'm already using tweetdeck on my computer, so that's a good start i guess. need to find a better iPhone app…need to juggle multiple accounts, and am not thrilled with what i've tried yet. open to suggestions.

i appreciate your honesty about being human and all. i also like the idea that Twitter is like a phone–needing two-way conversations. i'll be working on that too!

Thanks for giving us a glimpse of the *twittering elite*. Interesting how all the elitists love TweetDeck. I’ve tried TweetDeck, used it for a while, and find its interface lacking – I feel it’s the ‘winner by default’ because I think it’s the only app that allows you to create groups by tweeter (someone please let me know if there is another app that can do that!). Having said that I think TweetDeck can be majorly improved by adding 1) the ability to tile grids on its interface (so that you don’t have to do the scroll right to get to your 6++ grids) 2) the ability for quick look up names when setting up groups. (How do you quickly find a name out of your your ten thousands of names when setting up groups? I found it a pain with just a couple hundred names!). I am curious as to how you deal with these problems.

I’ve also found Tweet Grid useful for doing multiple searches. Power Twitter (Firefox plugin) is DA BOMB, though – it actually enhances the Twitter web interface, for a super duper truly integrated plugin solution. (Plus it adds a SEARCH box right on the page!!)

@Chris since you seem to be using tweetdeck, you should give twitscoop a try (the little bird icon) – it will enable you to follow the twittersphere as whole, and who knows, maybe find some *more* people to follow and conversations to jump in!

It’s great that you try to answer everyone, but how do you not go crazy. I only follow 40 something users and my Tweetdeck is buzzing non stop. I just have to shut it off.

I do, however, live in Costa Rica and cannot get a dcent mobile device. Maybe it will change then, but when I am in front on the computer I need to work.

I truly enjoy reading what you have to say, along with many others. In fact it helps me to keep up with whats happening much better than RSS.

BTW, I would never unfollow you (well unless you became an idiot). I couldn’t imagine who would not want to listen. I think Twitter has become the only way to keep up to date on whatever niche you follow.

I only have one question, isn’t it unsafe to be twitting in your car??
