Is this A-Hole Week

June 27, 2007 · Comments

Seriously. Is this a** week? I just had some guy call up and chew on me for a while, so I let him have it. I had no time for it. His accusations? That I was discriminating against him. I said, “I’ve never even met you. How would I know who I was discriminating against?”

By the end of the call, I’d hooked him up with everything he wanted and more.

Here’s an idea: maybe don’t lead with being an a**hole. Maybe realize that you don’t know me. Then assume the best, and work from there.

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

  • To answer your question directly, yes.

    It is A-hole week.
  • Sorry, make that 6:15 pm EST.

    I'm an asshole.
  • I don't know why, but for some reason this just made me laugh. I think it was imagining being at the desk or table next to you and hearing your end of the conversation.

Chris, I'm going to be enjoying a Dos Equis at 6:15 pm EDT this evening. Wherever you happen to be at that moment, grab a beer (or beverage of your choosing) and we'll toast to assholes.

That goes for everyone else, too.
  • Week? Try decade. ;)
  • Chris, you need this list of places that don't tolerate assholes: http://bobsutton.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/06/...
  • People see success and get jealous. It's really unfortunate but I don't see it as much different than really snarky emails and comments you get from people finding you on your blog. I got one the other day that showed the sender to be a really, really bitter person.

I've got no time for bitter. I'm spending too much time being happy.
  • See what happens when you post your number online. The crazies feel the need to call you.

How many drunk dialers have called you?
