My Kids Like Katie Davis Books

I met Katie Davis at Blog World Expo a month or so back, and after talking a bit, she wanted to send me a couple of her books that she thought would be appropriate for my kids. I shot a quick little video of each of them just showing off that they have the books. Since that video, we haven’t finished Violette’s book, and Harold liked his book well enough, so I thought I’d give you affiliate links to them, if you want to check them out further for yourself. : )

Here’s Violette talking about The Curse of Addy McMahon:

Here’s Harold talking about Kindergarten Rocks:

Much better than kids being marketed to by old guys. If this is human business- I like it Chris. My dad’s girlfriend turns the sound down on comercials for their child. Keep up the interesting work mate.

It almost seems too obvious after the fact, but yes, this is type of marketing is so much better and more human. Very interesting indeed…

    Thoughts:
    - It is Saturday
    - Violette is right, Irish is cool
    - It is funny that Harold burped at the end of his video and Katie’s YouTube channel is called “Brain Burps About Books”

    Ok…off I go

    G’Day Chris,
I’ve always liked Mark Twain’s saying; “It aint what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for certain that just aint so.” And the great John Wooden said, “It’s what you learn after you know it all that counts.”

    Make sure you have fun

    Regards

Thanks for sharing this post!!When one learns something new, the BEST way to learn it even better is to teach it to others. But there’s a danger to this. If you teach because someone’s interested in learning, that’s great.

It’s a very fine balance. You’re trying to practice what you’ve learned, but in so doing, you might accidentally cross a line into preaching at someone, instead of sharing learning.

I’ve always loved the silly logic of little kids. My dad was very silly and happily, I inherited that.
