Katrina Makes a Birthday Movie

April 8, 2007

Click To Play

Katrina got a bunch of friends and family to shoot a movie for me. It came out swell. She did all the work. There are a few things that I have to say post-fact.

The video from Dr. Pascal Venier was clipped when we received it. Sorry, sir. Katrina might’ve missed asking a few people when she reached out. It’s not for lack of love. Frankly, when I saw what she’d put together, I was blown away.

A very big thank-you to my friends and family for a very pleasant surprise.

Listen through the credits to my friend, Steven Ray’s performance of Happy Birthday complete with monkey line. : )

Love to you all.

That was fantastic. I loved the ending: “You’re not going to put this on the Internet, are you?” LOL.
One question, Chris: How many kids DO you have??

These wishes are probably just a sampling of your many friends and fans in the universe.

The wall salutes you…

Personally, I’m recovering from my own party that started off civilised enough then descended into a Network2-style Guiter Hero orgy (my next door neighbors! rocking out!) and then Mrs Mark & another neighbor letting off fireworks in the middle of the road.

Someone should have called the cops…

Thanks, everyone. I’m really blessed to know you all, and thankful to have a lovely wife like Katrina. It’s been a great birthday thanks to your contributions.

Happy birthday, sir. Kat did a great job. Next time she asks you to teach her a computer program, you’ll suspect something similar, I’m sure…

As for us, our STBD Brogan Birthday video met with destruction at the hands of my DV tape heads. Suffice it to say, it included three attractive girls wrestling with the hypothetical question: “Chris Brogan or a tank full of lobsters?”

[Spoiler alert: they preferred Chris Brogan…]

Comment by Pascal Venier on April 9, 2007 @ 4:27 am

Happy birthday!

… clipping my video clip! lol! What people are prepared to do, not to have to hear me sing! ;^)

Comment by Stephen Ray on April 9, 2007 @ 8:12 am

Oh man, that was delightful. Truly the greatest uke performance ever!

btw, that silly little birthday tune was the first thing I’ve recorded in about a year. Thanks for making me break out the stuff again :)

Now I have to record something else I suppose…

(you do kinda look like a monkey… well.. a sock monkey)
