Lobbypalooza-Make a Difference

Just since launching my Summer of Projects initiative, I’ve had lots of great email conversations about other project ideas. One such came from Charles Brown, who thinks we should take a little bit of our energy and reach out to Conrgress (in the US). He’s launched Lobbypalooza, complete with a nice video intro, to tell us the step-by-step on how to reach out to our government leaders and say what we think.

As a relatively non-political person, and as someone who’s not at all intelligent on HOW to reach out to my government, this was some useful info. If you’re political, consider moving the ball forward and looking into Lobbypalooza.

Wow, this is a really great site!

One thing that’s always bothered me about activists is that they go through so much trouble of making crazy signs and throwing huge protests when the tools for making political change really ARE as simple as Lobbypalooza makes them out to be.

While I’m more comfortable as a political analyst than as a political activist, this is the perfect example of how New Media can be more than just Flickr angles and lolcatz.
