More from the Blog Topics Community

One cool thing about being part of the Blog Topics community is that I encourage sharing of posts that you’ve written. This way, I can feature and highlight some of the 270 (and growing) people who are coming and participating in the project. Here’s the latest batch:

MapsAlive and Google Maps – is it David and Goliath? – fun way to contrast and show value.

Habits- The Easy Way Out – this would’ve fit nicely on Escape Velocity.

Three Things to Get You Over the Fear of Asking – Marc also participates in 501 Mission Place.

5 Key Twitter Tactics and Tools to Help – heck, even I learned something on this one. : )

6 Resources for Beginning Bloggers: Ready, Set, Go – Peg really gets a lot out of the community, and I get a lot out of her ideas. She shares well with others.

I saw the greatest tweet, from @joshhinds…It was “Thank an entrepreneur today. Their courage to go for their dreams is what creates jobs & in turn prosperity for others.” Or in this case, thanks for the encouragement and inspiration…It makes a difference.

Interesting to see what’s coming from your experiment, Chris.

Just out of curiosity, what’s your take of a professional that provides web content and content strategy paying to get ideas for… well, I guess web content and content strategy? Would you (as a client) pay for that agency or person’s service, or would you be curious as to what else they need to pay for that they should be proficient at anyway (going by the services they offer)?

    Cheers!

From what little I know about many agencies, they farm out parts of what they do. Lots seem to act like project managers instead of creative shops. Thus, I don’t know if any agency even just does it themselves. The traditional guys, mostly.

I farm out seo beyond the organic stuff. I also hire designers.

Strategy? That would feel weird not to own, if they were my client.

Content strategy? I don’t farm it out, but some folks buy it from me.

I just joined the group the other day, and as someone who manages many blogs, this is a great way to get new ideas and hopefully share some that I’ve had over the past few years of blogging.

Glad you’re part of it. :)

Well, I agree with you about it. It’s a way of letting the public know that you are existed and you have something to share. Not everyone actually have the guts to finally to participate and share knowledge unto something. I really admire those who share their piece to the blog community regardless of the topic.
