My Goals for PodCamp

My personal goals for PodCamp Boston (not speaking as an organizer, but as a participant) are:

  • Hug and shake hands with as many people as possible.
  • Laugh and share good stories. Laugh like Chris Pirillo, even.
  • Meet people I admire a great deal (like maybe these people).
  • Gather more people to Grasshopper’s cause (I have “job” openings: event coverage, interviewers, designer, embedded journalists)
  • Learn about business models around this space
  • Learn about unique methods of podcasting, interviewing, using podcasts, etc.
  • See cool gear and get geeky
  • Learn video tricks, especially editing tools (I only use iMovie, but just downloaded AvidFREE)
  • Meet business types into podcasting
  • Meet potential clients
  • Hang out with the brilliant podcasting friends I’ve already met and greatly admire
  • Live to tell about it.

I know it’s a large list, but you know what? If you’ve followed me for any amount of time, you know I can manage most (if not all) of that list.

What’s YOUR plan?

Special thanks to the Museum of Science, Boston for picking up the venue costs. Drop by their site, and if you want, send them email via their contact page thanking them.
