New Site Design Launched
People who subscribe to the RSS feed: come take a look! With much thanks to Nico from Snowy Day Design, I’m really pleased to launch a new custom designed site layout for [chrisbrogan.com].
The logo at the top was designed by Justin Evans and team from StressLimit Design, a Montreal company. All the other elements on the page were done by Nico, from Argentina. How did I meet both people? Through friends in social networking. Where did I meet them in person for the first time? At PodCamp Boston 2. So, my site’s layout and design was created by the social media community, through social media means, with all kinds of social media elements baked in.
This just rocks. Thanks, Nico, for the design ( Contact Nico), and thanks to Justin Evans for the logo ( Contact Justin).
What do you think?

Thanks! To be fair though, I have to mention that the design is a customization of an existing theme.
Oh, and you forgot to mention. The banner image was taken by C.C Chapman too. Another person you met via social networking!
So much easier to read! I like it very much. Nice work Chris. I like the comments talk bubble in the upper left of the posts.
Oh! I had no idea where the banner pic came from. You took that. : ) But I did use CC’s pic with attribution for this post, at least. : ) I guess I’ll email him for permission for my new banner bar.
And right, I should say that nico was kind enough to customize something I really liked that is essentially Christopher S. Penn ’s layout for his blog (another guy I met through social networking and social media).
I guess this story could keep going on like this. : )
It looks fabulous!
And thanks for the heads up on who did your design etc… many of us are wondering who we should contact for new site designs! :)
@geekmommy — yeah, nico is great. hire him!
as for justin, well, let’s just say he’s harder to get access to. :)
Very nice, well done! Nice job keeping the blog itself clean and packing a lot of content in on the side…
looks great! i’m in a relaunch myself and i’m thinking of leaning in this looks direction also. great job!
Nice layout, really like the icon.
Not sure why the type has to be sooo small but maybe squinting makes me look cooler.
Best always,
- Peter
The first thing I noticed was the logo… very nice. Clean layout and color scheme. Great job by your social media community.
Wow… I’ve seen a few people moving to a layout like this. It’s very clean, very easy to follow, and looks great.
Chris,
Nice job on the redesign. I like the use of the “c” “b” logo that you also used on your white paper. Great story, too!

Amazing design! Simple yet classy; the colors very easy on the eye; the logo - very innovative.
Came here through Dan York’s tweet.

This looks great, Chris. I have a new appreciation for this stuff after working on designing my own site/blog this weekend… to be launched soon, hopefully :)
Chris - a really bright and fresh clean design! Wouldn’t have seen it if you hadn’t reminded us RSS reading peeps in your post!
Very cool design and just like you to get a design using social media. Great job Chris and to the others!
Love the new design– well done.
Now all you need is a “LEGO Chris Brogan” game. Or at least a video promo pretending there is one.
I love this new design. It is very airy and inviting. I also like how there is tons of information here, in the body and sidebars, but nothing feels cramped. It is very easy on the eye.
Great job Chris, Nico, and Justin!
Cheers
Nice job on the new design. I hadn’t stopped by the site in a while since I was getting my dose over twitter. I was curious as to what you were up to on the blog. The site came up and I started reading and then I felt wierd. I looked around and bam. I had to check my address bar, I thought I made a mistake. Then I went up to the header to see if your mug was in the design… ah to the left faded in blue. A lot more friendly than the black and white “I’m gonna bash your face in” stare from the old design.
I love Nico, he’s a really cool cat. He needs to do a little work on his own site one of these days…
Job well done. Vey clean, sexy layout. With all the relevant information as well.
Definitely something to be proud of.

Nice design. Well done. :)
