Calling All Impact Makers

bravery Hello to you! If you happened to receive an early review copy of our book, The Impact Equation, thank you for taking the time to look it over. Many of you have asked what it was you were supposed to do once you finished reading it (besides change your life for the better). Here’s the summary, if you are willing.

If you did not receive an advanced copy of The Impact Equation, it is available for pre-order here. It comes out October 25th, so reserve your copy today!

Please Write a Review (or Two)

We’d love if you’d review it on Amazon.com and BN.com when both sites open our book up to be reviewed. The book is out October 25th, 2012. We think you probably won’t be able to review it until right around then. If you’re willing, mark your calendar. That’d be super excellent.

Want to know our real desires? Though we’d love it if you loved the book, Julien and I also would love to hear from you if you hated the book. But what we’d love to avoid are 3-star reviews. Either hate us or love us. If you’re indifferent, it’s okay. Maybe we just missed our mark.

You’re invited to review the book on your website, if that resonates with your audience. We love seeing it, and both Julien and I try hard to come by and comment on such reviews. If we miss you, it’s totally cool to @message us and let us know you’ve done that.

We know it’s a lot of work, but if you’re willing, it goes a long way towards helping us out, and we’d be very grateful.

Post a Photo With Words With a Quote

Julien and I are planning a special event in New York City for 10 people who produced the most interesting photo with a quote from the book over it, posted online somewhere with the hashtag #impacteq to make it easier to find. (We originally asked for the hashtag to be #impact, but it turns out that there’s a professional wrestling event plus some motivational speaker who both use that tag – aieee).

What do we mean by “photo with text?”

bravery

There you go. You can post it on Instagram, Facebook, Google+, Your Blog, Tumbler, Flickr, wherever. But if you don’t mind, please TWEET us a link to it via the hashtag #impacteq to make sure we get a chance to see it.

Alternatively, if you got a copy of the book, please feel free to quote the line you disliked the most. That’d work, too. :)

Oh, and most folks wonder what I use for that. I used an iPhone app called Over. Use what you like. Over just happens to be easy and fun.

Thank You. It Means a Lot to Us.

I receive emails daily from people who say very nice things and who ask how they can help. If you’ve been one of the people who’ve sent an email like this, you know that I say something along the lines of, “Just please continue to be successful” or I’ll say, “When the time comes, I promise that I’ll ask.”

I’m asking.

All and any help you can give us with promoting The Impact Equation would be very wonderful and we’d be grateful for it.

Thank you!

Book was fab! Reminder is set to leave review on the 25th! Image RT’d with new #tag:) And hoping I don’t loose points for not being BRAVE:) Although, that kind of means I suck in the Contrast department…LOL Thanks for the opportunity, Chris:)

“What we’d love to avoid are 3-star reviews. Either hate us or love
us. If you’re indifferent, it’s okay. Maybe we just missed our mark.”

So it’s okay to be indifferent, but not to note that with a three-star rating? :)

I learn a lot from you, Chris. But this request seems a little bit out of character. Maybe I’m missing something!

I’m saying I’d rather you love it or hate it. If you’re blah about it, save the rating. No one cares about the blahs. They’re the least read reviews on Amazon.

So I’m just saying that we’d rather you hate it than think it’s so-so.

Not sure if that’s out of character, but whatever. It’s my honest feelings.

I ordered ‘Trust Agents’ for my Nook as ‘The Impact Equation’ was only available for pre-order (disappointing), which I did. So, I’ll review them once read. Thanks, -k (FitOldDog)
