Coming into PodCamp Boston 2, there will be some AMAZING sessions put on by all kinds of wonderful people. I’m looking forward to quite a few of them. And then, at the same time, as I was messing around with setting up a new blog for a personal project related to my book intentions, I realized that I wished I knew a bit more about CSS. Then, I started poking around in my head. The question became this: What if I designed — could pick and choose– all the sessions I wanted for ME? What if I could make PodCamp MY PodCamp? What would the sessions be?
My Personal PodCamp- How To
- CSS for total idiots. Step by step on making your blog YOUR blog.
WordPress hacks. Nothing too tricky, but once you’re not afraid of PHP. - Creating a Closed Loop Marketing System – From just a blog to a complete plan.
- Email Marketing for Newbies- how to go from mailing a list to dedupes and more.
- Five Audio Workflows- an interactive hacking session.
- Video Compression Tips- You’ve Made The Movie. Now What?
- Apps You Haven’t Seen.
But that’s heavy how-to stuff, and focuses on things I wish I knew more about now. Technically, I could just put up that I want an all day session with Christopher S. Penn, Eric Skiff and maybe one other, and I’d get the same results. So, here’s one for discussions I’d love to have:
My Personal PodCamp- Discussions
- The new ROI – Julien Smith’s Return on Influence talked out.
- Financial models for content producers.
- Hyperlocal content and sustainability models for creators.
- Media in a Snack Box World.
- Making Multi-Cultural Content.
- Best of Breed- Pick the podcasting and new media startups that win, and why.
- Personal time management systems.
- Scaling Social Media and Networking.
I think it’s easier to think up even more discussions, for me at least.
So there. If you were creating your own sessions for PodCamp for either how people might teach you and/or for what you’d love to discuss, what would you come up with? Share your topic ideas, and tell me what you know about mine. It’ll be a fun discussion.
