Yesterday afternoon, I took a little time to do some podcasting with Greg Cangialosi and Kris Smith. There were lots of interviews before I showed up, but when I got there, they were finishing an interview with Stephen Fisher.
Greg announced a new book coming out a month from now about podcasting for businesses, as part of a PODCAST ACADEMY series. He did the project with Michael Geoghegan of Gigavox and some other writers. It was a great interview, and I shot the video for it while Kris recorded audio. There was lots of energy and humor. Kris Smith’s croncast has an amazing conversational feeling that made it just a ball to be part of, even just sitting there.
Doug Kaye of IT Conversations and the Conversations Network did a spot with Kris, and that was exciting to be part of, too. Also showing up for an interview was Mark Chernesky from CNN and (I forget your blog’s name, Mark- help?). It was GREAT. And then people started coming in to talk about different things.
By the end, offline, we had a full on micro-unconference (read: conversation) with LOTS of great depth of topic, married to speculation, and some insights on where things could go next. It was fascinating. Some of our speculations will probably play themselves out a lot faster than any of us in the room even imagined.
All in all, it was really fun to do some podcasting again. Just plain recording and talking, and making a formatted show. I enjoyed being part of it, and am thankful to the names above for making it a meaningful few hours within a very exciting and top-shelf conference.
The best podcasts are digital relationships.
