Post from the Comments- Passion is Fuel

jet engine This comes from my long time friend Jon Glassett. It is just a snip of a comment he left on my finding your voice in business post. All the comments are great at this blog, and if you only read in RSS, you’re missing most of the fun.

Passion is Fuel

Passion is fuel. At best, it’s an engine. What passion doesn’t tend to do so well is steer. Passion will always go forward even if it’s aimed for the rocks. That’s why ships have crews and captains and navigation systems: to keep all that power on course.

Brilliant, right? You can read more at Jon’s site, JonGlassett.com

I love this! I am following my passion, but I have to step back and make sure it has direction. I have been working on this over the past few days, funny to see this post now!! Just when I need it!!

Indeed, that’s a wonderful metaphor; I’ll be sure to borrow it. I wish my dad was still around, he would really have enjoyed this one — it resembles his philosophy.

Are we machines, or animals? Perhaps passion is play, creativity incarnate.

I find that feeling passionate is often a sign I’m headed in the right direction, and lacking passion is a sign that I need to adjust or change course!

Zena’s right… one reason for reading other people’s blogs each day is to sample someone else’s passion. If they don’t have passion, don’t read them. Please try to write the best postings on Monday mornings…

Brilliant ~ Its so true…. passion in the wrong direction crashes & destroys. Passion in the right direction lights up the sky like a beautiful firework display. It inspires & brings light to all who see its radiance.

We all need our gatekeepers ; )
Again thanks for always sending some little something that inspires & makes you think.
