I will always check the comments when we go out of town and need to stay at a hotel.

Some comments are a hoot like this one for a chain motel in my hometown of Paso Robles, CA:

“The room smelled like vomit and there was hair in the bed.....”
and
"I'd rather sleep in a Greyhound bus station‎"

Don't think I will recommend it to my friends.

The comments are hilarious! I often find that the comments on a product -- on Amazon or elsewhere -- is what really pushes me over the edge to buy it. They are honest, real as compared to the canned reviews.
