Site Rework Done

September 19, 2007 · Comments

It’s subtle, but you might notice that my site is now interestingly tidy. All the links are now tidy and set up like http://chrisbrogan.com/link , instead of grasshopperfactory.com/cbc/link… Nice and tidy. Cool, eh? Know how?

This is thanks to Will Eizlini and Julien Smith.

Thank you. I am SOOOOOO happy that you fixed the site in this subtle-but-search-important way.

ChrisBrogan.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

  • Kudos to Will and Julien for doing that. I know how much difference it can make! And congrats on having it all straightened out.

It is sure great to fix little details like this. Even when not everyone notices it you will be rewarded later with more search hits and less overall confusion.

    great work,

    Alex
  • Chris:

I'm glad to see I'm not the only guy who sweats the little web details. Must be because I know how much I don't know.

    Best always,
    - Peter
  • Eh?

I didn't realize you were part Canadian Chris...

Gratz on the fix, it'll be a lot less confusing for everyone :)

  • That's a very good point: the average visitor may never have noticed a difference, but the average webcrawling robot certainly will -- and that will lead to more average visitors via improved search.

Good Lord, SEO works?! Next thing you know, someone's going to be preaching the word of contextual advertising and targeted marketing...

    Egad.
