My dad died when I was 14. I think of him every day, all of his quirks, his strong and weak points.

Mom recently found a cassette tape we had for fun when I was in middle school. In the middle of silence on that tape, daddy said “Dumb, dumb Daddy loves Lynnie Troldahl… immeasurably.”

I heard that for the first time when I was nearly 50 years old. I still shed a tear every time I remember it.

What a gift you are giving to your son. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow… Wow… what a lucky lucky (and beautiful) little boy. You have just given him the gift of a life time… no really….what I wouldn’t have given to know that I was so deeply loved and for something so simple as just being me…. what a dad…and happy birthday after birthday after birthday Harold!
