Social Media Today- Stop By

October 9, 2008

social media today I first met Robin Carey at a Marketing Profs event in Boston, but I’d known about Social Media Today for a while. They host a site that gathers some of the brightest authors out there on the topic, like Amber Naslund, Scott Monty, Beth Harte, and many more. It’s a place where you can dig in, read a mountain of great information, and understand what’s going on in the social media space with a quick glance.

They have some other neat projects like a white paper talking to IBM about employee-centric social media. They create other communities like The Customer Collective and My Venture Pad and more, which shows how community-centric content can build relationships for businesses.

If you haven’t already discovered Social Media Today for yourself, stop by. It’s worth your time.

I should be in there, too. But somehow there is a disconnect and I cannot get my posts to work, etc. Oh, well.

I love Social Media Today & the sister site myventurepad.com (for small biz).

I syndicate my blog into both & when the editor deems my post worthy, it gets put in with the mix. The best thing is that it gets in front of a lot of new eyes. I end up with at least a couple of hundred views per post there alone.

And as you said, it’s a great way to stay up to date on the best reading as well as meet new authors.

Hi Chris, thanks for the mention, I appreciate it. Agreed, SMT is where I go first thing in the morning to see all the posts for the day. It really helps me to see who’s talking about what, learn from them quickly and to connect with great folks that might not be in my Google Reader.
