Start Every Day New

July 6, 2007 · Comments

You can accomplish so much more when you don’t know that something can’t be done. The experts that make amazing things happen aren’t experts: they just don’t know better. Happiness is taking on a challenge and believing you’ve got on board what it takes to succeed. And here are five things to consider:

  1. The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same level of thinking with which we created them.- Albert Einstein.

  2. Although all knowledge begins with experience, it does not necessarily all spring from experience.. – Immanuel Kant
  3. You are already amazing and unique. How can you bring YOUR version of things to life?
  4. Everyone says no when they don’t see your vision. Forgive them, and work harder.
  5. Today is a great day to do something new. You already did old stuff yesterday.

Why do I push and prod and ask you questions? Why do I challenge you with my thoughts and ideas? Because I believe in you. Because I know that YOU will do things, amazing things, that will make a difference. I’m just here to clap and cheer BEFORE you launch into your next big thing so that I can be there when you reach your goals.

Today seems like a great day to try something new. What will YOU do?

  • I have so much to say about that post and how it aligns to how I believe life should be lived, that it's just too much to even get into...but...i will share with you just a tad of yogic wisdom.

What you see in that boy's face? That look that is truly fantastic, in yoga it's called abhuta, the best way to translate that word: the Wow of every moment. Wonderment. We can have that at any time, we must allow ourselves to see the possibility of wow at every moment, and as we do that, every day will be full of wonder, and thus new :) Even when we do the 'old.' It's really how we choose to look at it.

Plus, how cool is it that there is a word for that? We must include it more and more in our everyday lives.
  • Looking at the world fresh every day - great idea; how to do it? Children in particular help to switch off our filters...

Great message to start my day. Ohh and find time to read the Secret by Rhonda Bryne when you find time.
  • Chris, Nice piece to start the morning with. One of my favorite quotes, which I have up on a bulletin board here in my home office, is from Goethe:

"Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it."
  • Can you just, like, come over here and cheer on the rest of my team, too? Your positive energy is contagious...
  • Some wonderful thoughts to ponder over the weekend. Two of my favorite quotes compliment this sentiment well:

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could." - Emerson

“Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again tomorrow.'"

Thanks for both challenging and encouraging us!
  • Very inspiring...

    Thank you.

I'm off to see Savannah, GA for the first time.

    :)
