Housekeeping
You’ve noticed all the 500 errors. Over the next several days, I’ll be moving my blog to a new site. My hosting provider hasn’t really kept up with me, so I’m moving to try something new.
Thanks for the patience. Sorry for the crashing.
Seattle Bound
Gnomedex looks to be a great show this year, and I’m going with special thanks to Jeff Pulver for support and sponsorship. I’m looking forward to seeing the sessions, several by people I’ve met a few times before, and some by new names to me. I’m even more jazzed by who’s attending, as I know lots of the folks in the audience.
Are you going? Do you live in Seattle? Where should I stay? What should I do if I get a moment to myself? Do you know of some great companies (besides Pluggd) that I should meet while I’m out there?
Let me know the scoop!
Help Me Connect You All Together
The “social” in social networks isn’t just through Facebook and LinkedIN and Twitter and whatever. It’s in reading each other’s thoughts, watching and listening to each other’s personal media. It’s in threading this entire conversation together. And I’m seeing the value in micro-communities, who then, in turn, re-embed in their own communities. I’m seeing the good in knowing who you are, sharing with you who EACH OTHER are, and then trying to get things to connect across a horizontal scale. It’s why I like that MyBlogLog widget in my sidebar (come to [chrisbrogan.com] to see that, if you’re on a reader).
So I’ve built an entire page for highlighting YOU. I’ve added some of my favorite blogs with the URL and the RSS for the feed. And I want to add the podcasts and Internet TV shows and stuff I watch, too.
Only, I got lazy quick. I got tired of surfing over to the site, copying down your URL, and then clicking to add your RSS feed, just so I could see the link. Too much work. I need your help.
So, if you come here, and you like the people you meet here, and the things you read, I want you to send me your URL and your RSS. Because if you’re here, it’s already assumed you’re someone of interest and import. Add it to comments or email me. Whatever works. But please, let’s rebuild my blogroll on that rockstars page, and make sure you all know about each other. Okay?
(And if you want, feel free to link to [chrisbrogan.com] on your site, too). : )
Old Posts Now Available
For a while, my archive function hasn’t worked for [chrisbrogan.com]. Thanks to Eric Rochow of Gardenfork TV, I now can offer you an extensive sitemap of this blog.
Because there are over 1700 posts, it takes a little while to load, but when it comes up, you’ll see everything. At random, here’s an old post from April 2006 on why everyone should have an elevator pitch.
See? I was thinking about branding even way back then.
Thanks again to Eric Gunnar Rochow for his help.
Archives are available at the tab at the top of my website, or here

Next Jeff Pulver-Chris Brogan Show Monday 12PM ET
Jeff and I are at it again. We’ll be broadcasting live in Monday at 12 noon Eastern time, 9AM Pacific, 5PM GMT (is that right?). We’re working on the show right now, but it will talk about the video space, about some of the innovators and movers we’ve seen recently, and we’ll be taking your calls on an improved setup.
Stay tuned for more details, including the URL. It’ll be at Ustream.tv, but we’ll post the direct link.
The Jeff Pulver and Chris Brogan Live TV Show
Next up on Ustream.tv: the Jeff Pulver / Chris Brogan Show! We’re going to do something a little different and do a combination discussion and call-in show. When? Today! Wednesday, April 18th, from 3PM EST (1PM PST, 8PM GMT). How do you see it? Click This
We’ll talk about video stuff, tech stuff, twitter, social media, and whatever else comes up.
Call In: Dial 631-612-8945 (yes, my cell phone), and we’ll talk with you during the show. Obviously, if you go to voicemail, just drop the call and watch until we’re free and open.
The Goal: We’re hoping to see if we can make an on-the-fly show that feels more like a conversation than hanging out. You can help it not suck.
Want to play? Watch and chat here.
Upcoming Posts- Your Input
Unless you give me suggestions, what I plan to write about next in coming posts is:
* Community how-to: what I’ve learned about being in big crowds of people I want to know.
* Motivation to Action: how to take a good idea and make it a good practice.
* Inspiration in Blogging: how one keeps moving forward and posting passionately.
So, let me hear yours. Those are good. Do you have great ideas?
30 Days of Experts Post is Live
For the Chitika 30 Days of Experts series, I wrote How to Get More out of Conferences and Networking Events. In it, I talk a little bit about things I’ve learned from attending and hosting several events, especially the whirlwind of the last six months.
I hope you find it useful.
Volume 2 is Coming
For anyone who DIDN’T see their contribution to my birthday video that Katrina made me, PLEASE contact me. Kat missed some clips, couldn’t get some to work, and some folks contributed late, etc. Through several circumstances, the finished piece is missing some of your kind wishes, so I’m going to work with Katrina in putting out a Volume 2.
Please contact me.
