Photo editing site Aviary wrote me yesterday to say that they’ve got a few things brewing. First, they bought the aviary.com domain finally. (They were stuck with a.viary.com, which was clever, but hey!). Second, they did a whole bunch of other things. Michael Galpert gave me the scoop:

Adobe Photoshop-like image editor (+ a Firefox extention that allows you to do screen capturing)

Special effects creators

Color manager (for creating and finding swatches designers can store and use).

Adobe Illustrator-like vector editor for logo creation (for subscribers only)

Not bad, said I, but why should my friends care? (I didn’t say that.) Michael said, Because I love them all and want them to be happy! (Michael didn’t say that).

But I do have discount codes for you.

The service has a paid annual subscription fee. The first 100 folks who click here get $55 off your yearly subscription. (I don’t get a cut, sadly.)

So, if you need more than what comes with my favorite Picnik, then get into Aviary, which is just packed with illustration and photo tools you can’t even imagine without risking the explosion of your head.

So there.
