He’s talking about whether Google should feel threatened by Twitter (and similar services) in Twitter’s ability to deliver more concierge-level information. Frankly, I don’t care about the “is Google threatened” angle of Sterling’s post as much as I am interested in his idea for social directory assistance, or the idea of asking Twitter for advice or help.

There’s a business opportunity here, and it isn’t even all that tricky. It’s also a branding/marketing opportunity, kind of like the way visitor & tourism bureaus are really mostly marketing for a locale’s businesses.

Think on this. What do you come up with?
