He&#8217;s talking about whether Google should feel threatened by Twitter (and similar services) in Twitter&#8217;s ability to deliver more concierge-level information. Frankly, I don&#8217;t care about the &#8220;is Google threatened&#8221; angle of Sterling&#8217;s post as much as I am interested in his idea for <a href="http://gesterling.wordpress.com/2009/03/01/google-the-twitter-threat/" target="_blank">social directory assistance</a>, or the idea of asking Twitter for advice or help. </p>
<p>There&#8217;s a business opportunity here, and it isn&#8217;t even all that tricky. It&#8217;s also a branding/marketing opportunity, kind of like the way visitor &#038; tourism bureaus are really mostly marketing for a locale&#8217;s businesses. </p>
<p>Think on this. What do you come up with? </p>
