The folks over at Sun have embraced blogging forever and a day. (To be fair, Microsoft has also done the blogging thing for a while. In fact, the company not doing a lot of blogging? Apple.) I read Jonathan Schwartz’s blog regularly and have for years, so it was a lot of fun to see his post about this year’s April Fool prank. The video is fairly fun, and it went onto YouTube.

Does this matter a lick to the bottom line? Not a chance. But it leaves me with an impression of Sun and Jonathan Schwartz as people who can take a joke, who are human, and who talk about more than chipsets and operating systems. All good things in my book.

Business is personal. It’s definitely about making revenue and achieving stakeholder goals and all that, but more and more, it’s also about the people around you. Some folks get this. Others don’t.

Guess who my money’s on?
