Read it Where You Want

October 7, 2008

reading Want to get [chrisbrogan.com] sent to your favorite reader of choice? Why swing by the site when you can have it sent to the place where you start your reading day? Hey, don’t get me wrong. If you want to drop in and check out the actual web page itself, I always love visitors, and if you’re here via the front page, check out the nifty MyBlogLog widget in the corner. I love that, because it gives me a sense of who’s dropped by lately. Nice to see people I know there, and fun to find new folks.

But, if you want to speed up your ability to consume blogs, and then find more ways to consume them when you have a moment, give some of these alternatives a view. You might find that having more than one way to get at someone’s content isn’t a bad thing, either. With the iPhone (shhh, @NickSaber), I find that my Google Reader habits have changed a bit. Do you read blogs at the desk *and* mobile?

Here are some ways to get my blog sent to you automatically.

Lots of folks still seem to like getting their blog reading sent to their inbox, newsletter style. We can do that:

Enter your email address:

Delivered by FeedBurner

Are you a Yahoo person?

How about Bloglines?

Subscribe in Bloglines

I myself prefer Google Reader:

Add to Google Reader or Homepage

Or you can put it pretty much anywhere using this:

 Subscribe in a reader

Finally, if you just don’t really like using RSS directly, use something clean and simple like Alltop. I’m down there on the bottom right.

That’s the cool thing about blogs. You can get them sent to you the way you want them, and read them at your leisure. Cool, eh?

Who are you reading lately that’s cool? Should I be subscribed?

If Youre New Here

June 16, 2008

newspaper Today was a good day for me. If you’re new here, thanks for stopping by. I’ve got lots of stuff to read. Years of it. If you want a quick cheat sheet, here’s the rest of the Social Media 100 series to date. If you want to get the new stuff, please consider subscribing for free to get the posts sent to your reader of choice.

Prefer to get my posts in email?

Enter your email address:

Delivered by FeedBurner

(There’s not a chance of spam. I don’t even get your email address when you subscribe that way. I’ll spam you other ways. :) )

Finally, if you want even MORE information (completely different than what you find here), there’s also a free newsletter. It comes out twice a month.

I’m glad you’re here, and thanks for your support. The people who comment and spend time at [chrisbrogan.com] are some of the best, most engaged people in social media that you’ll meet on your journey. Believe me, the folks leaving comments could give keynotes on social media and hold there own (heck, some do!).

Thank you. I’m so glad you’ve given me your time and attention. More to come.

Newsletter Subscription Drive

May 25, 2008

newsletter Did you know that I send out a completely different newsletter full of unique content twice or so a month? The difference between the newsletter and the blog is that the newsletter is a bit of a deeper dive into social media practice, and what that might do for your business needs. If you’re interested in receiving the free newsletter, simply fill out the form and you’ll receive the next issue and all subsequent issues.

Folks who are getting the newsletter *and* read the site, would you recommend this newsletter? If not, what should I do to improve?

Two More Ways to Share This Blog

March 26, 2008

Thank you to Fred Wilson for turning me on to the really cool product, Eco-Safe. It’s a way to save an entire post to PDF, email it to a friend, etc. How cool is that? Save paper: use a PDF. The widget is now in the right-hand sidebar. It looks JUST like this:

Also, I didn’t realize that I hadn’t added back in the “subscribe to the blog via your email” option for this site. I’ve added it to the top right sidebar for you. It looks like this:

Enter your email address:

Share. That’s why I do it.

Thankful You’re great people. I love that you come here and participate with me on [chrisbrogan.com]. I’m especially grateful for the conversations we have in the comments section. This just makes me thrilled to bits.

I have a favor to ask.

If you’re visiting the website directly, would you consider also subscribing for free to get this delivered to your feed reader of choice?

Want to receive [chrisbrogan.com] in email?

Enter your email address:

Delivered by FeedBurner

What I’d really love to do is ask you to invite folks you know who maybe would find this information useful, because then we’d have some other points of view on these things.

And, as an added bonus, if you want to tell people who come here about YOUR blog, put it in the comments section, with the url to the blog, the url to the RSS, and a little description of what your blog is about and who would appreciate subscribing to it.

Sound fair?

Oh! And if you want to get my next newsletter (due Sunday the 2nd), sign up here.

Thanks! Truly.
