I got this via Maura’s site after she complimented my recent Twitter avatar.

What’s this have to do with anything? Nothing. Except, maybe, if you think about it: Twitter is a serendipity engine for the web, and maybe there’s a story in understanding that power. There might not always be profit, at least not in the business sense, but maybe there’s a lot more wealth in these hidden kingdoms than what you’re thinking about right away.

Just a thought.

A very special thanks to Run Level Media for capturing my speech at New Media Atlanta from the other day. I’ve embedded it here for you.

Please be aware: there is CURSING in this video. I don’t actually say the F-bomb, but I get a bit passionate at a few places. Also note that sometimes the screen behind me (which is capturing the “backchannel” conversation is not in my control) shows some curse words, too. (The Backnoise application is a post for another time, but it was my first experience with it here.)

I hope this is interesting to consider. It’s some of my best work as a storyteller, and is the warm-up for what I’m going to tell folks at my event at Chapman.

I just got done reading Jeanne Bliss’s “I Love You More Than My Dog”: Five Decisions That Drive Extreme Customer Loyalty in Good Times and Bad. It is exactly the kind of book companies need to read, if they care about service excellence, and if they need to see the results and benefits of following a path to customer loyalty. Hottest Legs In Town- Get an XPad

I just tried out the Xpad fanless laptop cooler, because a new friend, Kimberly, brought one to Twiistup for me to use. It’s basically a very cool (but simple) design to do fanless laptop cooling. Watch this video:

Neat, huh? All I can say is that it works, and if you’re used to melted legs from a laptop, this is your inexpensive fix.

(Not social media at all: just a nice person who was social getting some media from me.)
