The Jeff Pulver and Chris Brogan Live TV Show

April 18, 2007

LiveCall Next up on Ustream.tv: the Jeff Pulver / Chris Brogan Show! We’re going to do something a little different and do a combination discussion and call-in show. When? Today! Wednesday, April 18th, from 3PM EST (1PM PST, 8PM GMT). How do you see it? Click This

We’ll talk about video stuff, tech stuff, twitter, social media, and whatever else comes up.

Call In: Dial 631-612-8945 (yes, my cell phone), and we’ll talk with you during the show. Obviously, if you go to voicemail, just drop the call and watch until we’re free and open.

The Goal: We’re hoping to see if we can make an on-the-fly show that feels more like a conversation than hanging out. You can help it not suck.

Want to play? Watch and chat here.

Time slot convenient for busy soccer moms too: right after school PU and before choir practice. So I sure hope to make it on! BTW, what are you/we going to be talking about?

Comment by chrisbrogan on April 18, 2007 @ 1:21 pm

We’ll take questions on pretty much anything. We’ll talk a little about Video on the Net for Fall in Boston, get your thoughts and ideas on who should be there. We’ll talk about social media tools, presence, communications, and whatever else you come up with.

That help?

Oh this should be fun!

Comment by SpaceyG on April 18, 2007 @ 2:08 pm

Yep… but if I really need to talk about Katie Couric’s boozing fury, will that be ok too?

Comment by Jay Moonah on April 18, 2007 @ 2:20 pm

Figures, that’s pretty much exactly when I have to drive to the airport. Ah well, have fun boys! Hopefully I can call in another time.

Caught a little of it in between getting my boys down for a nap. Great stuff! It’s good to see the impact of new media and the global effects it has.

Oh wow! I can’t stop saying Oh wow! I really feel that I was just part of broadcasting history with your show! Using Twitter to promote it, go live, etc. Just freakin’ cool as shit. And it just opens up a flood gate of issues though, as I move forward with promoting Internet video for clients too. Just like Garfield mentioned… people/companies are officially now being severely ripped off. Every sanke oil salesperson under the sun is now going to try to sell people what they can do themselves for f-in pennies really. You’ve just created a Home Depot for broadcasting really.

I’m gonna go track down Bernie Marcus now. He’s somewhere in this here town…

Toodles! It was just awesome makin’ a little history with you guys on a Wednesday afternoon… gotta morph back to soccer mom now… later. And yeah, if you do these on a regular basis, can I be a regualr “Special Correspondent?” I mean, I don’t have Amanda C -style cleavage, but I sure can yap!

Comment by SpaceyG on April 18, 2007 @ 4:02 pm

FYI… I get totally dyslexic when I get revved and try to type… sanke should, of course, be snake.

nice work fellas, good seein ya!

Thanks for the opportunity to be part of this, guys. The video/audio quality was really pretty good for such a new technology. Never lost synch, which I’ve seen with other tools. Couple of thoughts:
1. You’ve GOT to get Skype integrated. That would really open the floodgates of callers.
2. Funny how accidents can be serendipitous. Losing the chat made me realize how really useless chat is. I didn’t miss it at all. It lets you focus the discussion better. Let people comment on Twitter.
3. A question you should answer, though, is how is this different than a web cam? It’s been possible to do live broadcast on the internet for a long time. Why is this different, other than you’re using a different camera or streaming mechanism and the quality is a little better?

loved it! always looking for things to distract me from work that open my mind to new creative possibilities. And it was fun getting through to talk live on the air. Looking forward to the next show unless I’m totally on deadline and have to resist temptation to watch.

was in a meeting about video podcasting, of all things. is this cached somewhere for post-live viewing? that would help.

Comment by Kfir Pravda on April 18, 2007 @ 7:04 pm

Would love to see it offline. amazing - broadcasting yourself, live, with chats, and promoted in twitter. geeky as hell, cool as hell.
