Timberlake Snoop Dogg and Eminem
Last night, I hung out with Bryan Person, Steve Garfield, Dan Gorgone, C.C. Chapman, Indigo Tabor’ and later Michael Bailey and Jeff Persch. (sorry no links; I’m on my crackberry at the airport). It was really cool! Conversations ranged from family life to Second Life, with all kinds of tidbits that were both interesting and insightful.
At one point, we talked about the weirdness of people knowing about our day to day, via our blogs, Flickr, Twitter, and Podcasts. And on the other side, we laughed about the occasional rare fame-like moment. Sometimes, people notice some of us while out and about. (not me, but the other guys.)
We repeated the observation, ‘people are people.’
This morning, I wondered if somewhere in the world, Justin, Snoop, and Eminem were saying the same thing over coffee.

I marvel (or sometimes shudder) at how transparent your life is, how little privacy you allow yourself with those applications like Twitter. I sometimes shudder at how I’ve given away some of my own privacy on Flickr. Does it ever become a concern to bloggers/vloggers??
We talked about that briefly. It is part of the ‘grand experiment,’ to me. Is my life, in sum, interesting enough to keep tabs on? Maybe not, but as part of a larger story, it might be.

Somehow I’m thinking they are NOT having the same conversation. That’s what I love about us new media superheroes is that we actually DO interact with each other and the world around us. That’s what i love about this.
The fact that we could just be sitting in the restaurant being goofballs and suddenly more people join. The conversations and contacts get bigger and yet we are still all just chilling out having a blast.
Love this stuff! *grin*
