Yaks
Hey, has anyone used these? Are they good?

Do they really make you stick to the slippery stuff any better? How do they work out in the woods? Any ideas?

Never tried ‘em but they look so cool I think I’d buy ‘em just to sling over my shoulder and walk around with. People would be so in awe of me.
I LOVE THEM! You must have them! Regardless of performance, the chicks will dig em! (I’m sure your wife can back me up on that one).

I’m partial to ‘em but I am sadly without personal yak experience. I have seen a few of the animal variety. you know, around. not helpful, but, hey, that’s not new.
I’m thinking they are more hype than real. Then again, they do look really, really cool in a tech kind of way so you will have to buy a pair regardless of performance.
I have a pair. They do help with the slippage on ice yet not entirely. Therefore you have to be careful not to be overconfident. Another surprise was how the snow would “ball” up under the shoe and therefore I would be running on a snowball for quite awhile. I prefer to use them for walking / hiking but not running. -Andrew

Methinks you mean these. And no, I haven’t. But the theory is pretty sound…
