This will end up seeming really echo chamber, but I saw this post by Teresa Valdez-Klein that cites this post by Ken Burbary for finding this great video:

Advertising. Ah, yes.

ChrisBrogan.com runs on the Thesis Theme for WordPress

Thesis WordPress theme

Thesis is the search engine optimized WordPress theme of choice for serious online publishers. If you’re a blogger who doesn’t understand a lot of PHP, Thesis will give a ton of functionality without having to alter any code. For the advanced, Thesis has incredible customization possibilities via Thesis hooks.

With so many design options, you can use the template over and over and never have it look like the same site. The theme is robust and flexible enough not only to accommodate a site like ChrisBrogan.com, but also to enable the site to run far more efficiently than it ever has before.

  • I *love* this video - it's one of my all-time favorites. And it's nice to see it making the rounds again; I had originally featured it and written about it on my blog last May:
    http://www.scottmonty.com/2007/05/nothing-lasts...

Since then, the campaign has been nominated for and has won numerous awards. What's more, my fellow social media pal and co-author (The Age of Conversation) Geert Desager was one of the geniuses behind this.
  • clever but I know I'm not the only one who avoids advertising like the plague, I don't listen the radio anymore as I can't stand the commercials, luckily I have days worth of podcasts and music on my ipod and it plugs right into my car too!

I mute/surf/tivo tv so i avoid the commercials.

I avoid blogs encrusted with ads, sorry all you pro-bloggers!

in the words of Bill Hicks "By the way, if anyone here is in advertising or marketing, kill yourself." kidding but too many commercials are total lies and lies suck.
  • Really nicely done! Thanks for pointing us to it.
  • I love it! Too funny. It hit the nail right on the head.

Simply awesome (never mind that MS isn't really doing much to change this problem, but still awesome).
