Be Clear on What You Want People To Do

Walk Don't Walk What?

Look at that picture. Walk. Don’t Walk. I’m not sure which one it wants me to do. I chose to walk, but I also was a bit wary, related to the sign.

Here’s another:

REALLY don't walk. Like, don't do it, dude.

REALLY don’t walk. Like…double don’t walk. This was from Oslo, Norway, so maybe it means something there. For me? I was thinking, “Okay, I really won’t walk.”

Be Clear On What You Want People To Do

When people come to your site, do they know what you want them to do? On Kitchen Table Companies, we want people to buy the awesome small business webinar and worksheets I built the other day:

Here on this site, I’m a little less specific. I want you to fall into a relationship with the content, to consider buying the Genesis premium WordPress theme (affiliate link), to sign up for my newsletter. You know, a hodgepodge.

Is that serving my buyer? Not really. But then, this site isn’t really a sales-specific site, so I can be a little less clear.

What About You?

What Can you do to help your buyers see things clearly? What will you do to help them choose the #1 thing you want them to do? Does your site help them with that?
