Blog Topics and Blog Ideas

The great people who subscribe to my weekly newsletter, Blog Topics also get the opportunity to share their projects with everyone else. I’m excited about this because it’s a chance to see how people bring the topics to life, plus it’s a chance for you to see that we’re not all writing the same thing. Let’s look at the blog posts of some of the community members:

I have just received my first newsletter of topics and this post reminded me to get back and read through it, then create my first post driven from blog topics!

I love the blog topics community, I look forward to the FB discussions and the newsletter always gets me thinking about a new way to write…which is so exciting.

    Thanks Chris!

I personally love and highly recommend the Blog Topics newsletter and Facebook community. I get great ideas from the newsletter (and it gives me something to look forward to on Monday) and the support/ideas from the Facebook community is tremendous.

I have just begun work on our company blog, and I get some very good ideas from the newsletter. I am also starting my personal blog, and the newsletter helps me with that too. I read several blogs every day, and this is one of them.

Thanks for creating the Blog Topics community Chris. I am very happy to be a part of it.

Chris, this is a good thing you are doing. I’ve gotten ideas both from blog topics and also from the posts you list here. Methinks you came up with a good, low-cost, idea here.

I love getting it too! I signed up at the very beginning but idiotically I didn’t save it elsewhere, other than in my email. What can I say? I was stupid. It was easy to find and I referred to it often.

But, as life happens, I of course lost my email connection and all the emails in it! Now I’m trying to decide whether to “prove” to a few friends from #usguys that I too was subscribed, and would they send me a copy, or to bother Chris.

Given that he’s kind of a leader in the field: I pick bother my friends and don’t make an ass of myself! ;)

Now each one goes to Dropbox before I ever even read it. I feel a LOT better!

Sure, it’s great that you highlight people’s blogs, but have you read ‘Switch’ by the Heath brothers? Because there are so many blogs to choose from here, I get analysis paralysis and don’t click on any of them.

I think a better idea would be to highlight one (or a few) each day on your blog post. It’ll take longer, but each blogger will get way more hits.

    • http://deaneogden.com Deane Ogden

Rex—Maybe you could bookmark Chris’ post and then visit one or two a day on your own time? Just a thought.

I love Switch. You’ve got a good point. It would just take a lot of posts to share everyone’s great ideas. : )

Chris, I’m incredibly proud and feel very lucky to have been included in your list this week. I’m enjoying visiting everyone, and commenting where I feel a connection or a topic in common.

“I’m in a Teacher’s State of Mind” was a joy to write, because it was about my heart. It couldn’t possibly have been more honest. I want better schools for our kids with all my heart, and am doing all I can in my teaching site to help those struggling readers that the schools just aren’t able to reach right now.

You and the newsletter have been a godsend to me! Thanks a million. :)

I have only just found your site a second time. I have had you in my chrome bookmarks, which I never check since I have not used it in a while. However, currently I have had over 30 tabs from your site alone open because of all the information I keep finding on here. I am getting an information overload in my head rite now from all of your amazing info.

I am even getting ideas for new post topics. Once I get a topic in my heads, I can write about it for what seems like forever I still need to learn to shorten my blog posts.

However, I do enjoy your site as well as problogger.I have decided to twitter follow you to try to keep up with all of your post or at least a few good ones.
