Build Your Own Alltop for Instant Inspiration

My Alltop

I just added a few more things to my own personal Alltop. It’s a feature Guy Kawasaki added to his service so that I can pick and choose which of his many aggregated sources I want to check in on easily. Mine has a lot of marketing and PR sources in it. Yours can have whatever you like, maybe poker? (Don’t forget to check out my Dad’s poker blog, if you like poker.)

Just browsing My Alltop this morning gave me three new tweaks to my own marketing strategies. I added the ideas to an Evernote file for later.

I still use Google Reader and RSS for several hundred other sources, but Alltop is a good way to get a fast glance and pick up some ideas. Have you tried it?

    I totally agree! You gotta love the Alltop! :)

    Great way to have all your favorite feeds in one place. I also continue to use Google Reader. BTW: did you notice I'm the top spot for Alltop web design? :)

    Have you played with Feedly.com? It uses Google Reader and adds a flexible and intuitive interface.

    Off topic,, I have a website question for you.
    I have been blogging around [www.tulsaceltics.blogspot.com & http://brockmorton1d1basketballprospect2009clas... ; these are a couple of them] for a few years,,, and have several websites that I had built that need major revamping…..[www.bitsandbytes-tulsa.com ]. on my MAIN umbrella sight,, I am debating whether to utilize a WordPress blog OR http://www.SITEBUILDIT.com ,, which Steve Pavalina recommends for those of us who are NOT tech guru's.
    I plan on monetizing the blog sites via affiliate marketing and directing links to MY ecommerce sites.

    So my question is,, use SITEBUILDIT or a WORDPRESS template?

    I don't know the other tool so can't recommend it, but if it's just to mechanize link farming, it probably doesn't matter.

    A few hundred bucks of custom work in wordpress goes far, if you intend to build relationships, too.
