Don’t Trust My Review of Six Pixels of Separation

May 21, 2009 · Comments

I just finished reviewing Mitch Joel’s Six Pixels of Separation, but you shouldn’t take my opinion as a good judge of buying it. I’m ridiculously biased. Why? Because I love Mitch. More so, I’m a friend. More so, he writes really nice things about me and a lot of my friends in the book. So, yeah, go somewhere else to get a review. Forget about me.

OR realize that I think it’s a really damned prescriptive book and that you can take it and find things to do on nearly EVERY page. I jotted down stuff I need to do, based on my read through. And you? You might have all kinds of extra stuff to do when you finish. Check it out. Mitch is the shit (which is a technical term for “really good writer and thinker”).

  • First! lol.

Chris, thanks so much for the very kind review.

What you are holding in your hands in the advance galley copy. The final hardcover version will be out in September. I appreciate the pre-order link in your Blog post... once people are there, they should also order another book that is coming out soon called, Trust Agents. I think your audience will like it. They may even know the co-author ;)
  • It seems that you read at least a book or two a week in addition to everything else you do. How do you fit it into your schedule? Are there any techniques you are using to be a more proficient reader?
  • One easy way to read more is to fly twice a week or more. :)
  • Chris,

First of all, bias be gone - you are absolutely right. Mitch Joel is one of THE finest minds I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy. He is an engaging writer, a fantastic speaker, an wicked smart wonderful dude and shares constantly.

Mitch is the single reason I leapt into this space. Or better stated, Mitch pushed me in the deep end. He is the guy who introduced me to your fascinating mind and the journey began.

I cannot wait to buy a copy of Six Pixels of Separation when it's out in September.

    Great review, keep sharing!

  • It's okay to be biased. Your disclaimer seems odd even though more and more folks are expecting us to say those things. Your review mentions enough good points I'll likely check this book out.

    Cheers my hair trimmed friend.
  • This book is a great read and it taught me a lot about how the web works and the community we are involved in. Also check out Mitch's blog.
