Email Marketing and Online Marketing – Video Book Reviews

Simms Jenkins sent me his book to review, and I bought Brandon Eley’s book at BlogWorld Expo. When I got to read them, Simms Jenkins has a solid primer in email marketing with The Truth About Email Marketing (Amazon affiliate link), and Brandon’s Online Marketing Inside Out. They’re both exactly the kind of books I’d give to someone with some marketing background who wants some tool help and some overview/primer information to work from. If you’re a pro at either, you’ll mostly nod your head, find two or three tidbits, and move on, but if you’re starting out or moderate, they’re both great books to consider.

    the back ground was a good distraction.

    if i listened a second and third time (i did) i heard the book reviews.

    nothing you do isn't thought out.

    This will more than likely be a year where email marketing will be predominant. Not necessarily because it is the most effective way to create leads but mainly because it is so inexpensive. Another form of marketing that you might want to consider that is reasonably inexpensive also is business seminars. Research is showing that more quality leads result from seminars than almost any other form of advertising. The trick is of course to fill the seats, but if you can do so, it will pay dividends. That will be one of our focuses this year.

    More than likely this will be a year where the major email marketing. Not necessarily because it is most effective but made mainly because it is a very inexpensive way.     Nice advice. It’s also useful to look at purchase data, especially if one of your goals with your email marketing is to increase sales and you’re including discounts and other offers as incentives for your subscribers to click through and purchase.
