    Nice intro. I tell you what’s messing with my + mojo… I can no longer be logged into Google Apps for work mail, and G+ with my personal Gmail account at the same time. Means lots of re-logging and toggling, and friction. Hope they sort that out pronto.

    It’s kind of stalled a bit at the moment I think but as soon as they link it up to Google apps and roll out business pages it might get more interesting for marketeres especially with Google Analytics etc

    IMS was a great conference!  I’m so glad I was able to attend. Got lots of ideas and inspiration.  Great community of people.   Now the fun starts with following up and following through.  Glad also to be able to re-watch this piece about Google+.    I’m seeing G+ as a place where I can talk about the interests and projects I’m involved in that my personal friends may not be interested in hearing about in their FB feed.  I’m seeing the possibilities. Looking forward to the book. Thanks!

    G+ still has hope, but it needs to come out of beta I think to pick up steam.

    BTW, not to be critical but your speaking does need to become a bit more fluent/smooth, but I really liked your points =)

    This was a fine post Chris, but the title is misleading. It’s not “Google+ for Business”, it’s “Google+ for your own personal brand”. Some good tips for those new to Google+ – definitely useful for them.

    p.s. And of course you are not done writing your book yet because Google hasn’t released their version of “fan pages” for businesses yet.

      And if you think that ‘fan pages’ is what makes Google+ a great tool for business, then you also think business cards are what make someone a business person. : ) 

      But you’re not wrong. I’m waiting on this one chapter. It’s very annoying.

    Well already I’ve started to love Google+ over twitter which seems to start being more about trying to sell you products with all the sponsored links. While that is good and all the thing that isn’t good is sometimes I’ve noticed similar products to what I’m marketing in the sponsored links. That is making me lose my followers. So I’m really interested in Google+ and I can’t wait to see what they have in store.

    Thanks for posting the video! I am still deciding whether to make a Google + account or not. This video convinced me a little. I think it’ll be hard to comprehend a new social media site. Some says that its almost like Facebook, especially now that Facebook updated their site once again.

    Thanks for sharing your session here Chris – one question though as you mention your Google+ profile being at the top of the search engines for your name. Is that only when logged into your Google account or for any search you do on your name?

    When I did a search for your name when not logged in and from here in Ireland your Google Profile is fifth in the search results.

    I have certainly seen my Google Profile climb higher on the page for a search on my own name in recent months.
