Turns out Google Reader is going away. As a user, I’m very sad. As a provider of content for you, I have to make sure I’m helping you.

    Flipboard using Google Reader is my RSS reader if choice. RSS is still so convenient and Flipboard makes the experience a pleasure.

    I was sad too, but feedly is a great replacement. I just started using it today and love it. The ios app is very nice.

        Yeah, I was really surprised at how quickly I took to it. Really beautiful design and fun to use. It was easy for me to get behind on reading before because I couldn’t find any iOS apps for Reader that I liked. Little did I know how easy of a transition this would be. I love Google, but I’m kind of glad this happened because it forced me to find something better and more enjoyable.

      Ari – it’s a separate newsletter. Different content and stories, but similar themes, of course. Chris makes it feel like you’re having a one-on-one conversation. I really enjoy it. Oh, and it’s not an autoresponder.

    Yes, I use google reader like a fiend…in fact, your blog was my first RSS subscription.. Others have come and gone, but I always kept your blog as number one….Sigh. I’m bereft. I don’t want more e-mail–I want a simple know fuss, almost ugly in design place to collect and organize my feeds.(foot stomp)

    I specifically use Google Reader to AVOID getting email newsletters. I read RSS feeds with a different mindset than email. As of now, it looks like netvibes is the best bet.

    I disagree with the idea that those are the same thing. I like them both for different reasons. I like the additional content in the newsletter. But I can’t get into my email at work, but I can get into Google Reader. I can catch up on things when I take a break. I use them both.

    I am an avid Google Reader user. I have no time for e-newsletters. I simply do not have time to go out and search for information that is not readily available, and Reader has given me access to info I would have never found on my own.

    I have not been using Google
    reader shortly but I was recently reading the article on Google
    “no-more-google-reader” and the comments there. Every one genuinely
    was sad about it.
