One thing we talk about a lot inside the Third Tribe site is the value of guest posting (writing posts for other people’s blogs) for your site traffic and growth. I don’t offer it for my site, but I do at Man on the Go, my travel blog. I will most definitely be seeking guest posters for my upcoming project. So, it was amazing timing that my friend Chris Garrett told me about his ebook about guest posting (affiliate link).
It’s one of those rare times when I felt like, “holy cats. I was going to have to write something on this,” and instead, Garrett’s already done the hard work for me.
Guest posting is an important tool to have in developing your own web presence. I used to write for Lifehack.org and that gave me a lot of my presence here at my site. I still sometimes throw the occasional guest post over the fence to other sites if what I had to say was more valuable to their audience than my own. And every time, I meet some new community members that stick around on my site.
The book has been really successful for Chris. He’s raised the price twice. So, if you’re interested in getting it, I’d pick it up sooner than later. It’s $17 USD, which is pretty much a drop in the bucket, if you use what you learn in the book to convert more traffic to your site.
I love Chris Garrett’s style. He’s truly a trust agent kind of guy, and for that reason, I had to check out the book. I’m glad I did.
If you want what I think is the definitive guide on guest posting, I’d say it’s this ebook.
Check it out at Chris’s spiffy sales page (and by spiffy, hey – what do I know? I don’t use sales pages, so I don’t sell as much as he does.)
